4x4 SYSTEMS

JEEP® ACTIVE DRIVE
The Jeep® Active Drive system is fully automatic and delivers seamless transition in and out of four-wheel drive at any speed. This system requires no driver intervention, delivers yaw correction during dynamic events and improves both understeer and oversteer conditions.

JEEP® ACTIVE DRIVE LOW
The Jeep® Active Drive Low system builds on the Jeep® Active Drive system and affords a 20:1 crawl ratio for genuine 4×4 capability. This system adds Hill-descent Control to Selec-Terrain and the Trailhawk model features the “Rock” Selec-Terrain function to maximize wheel traction and improve grip.

SELEC-TERRAIN® TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM

Jeep® Active Drive and Active Drive Low feature the Selec-Terrain®traction-control system. Selec-Terrain® allows you to dial in the desired on- or off-road setting for optimum performance on any road conditions. Go anywhere, do anything, with a choice of up to five customized settings: Auto, Snow, Sand and Mud modes, with Jeep®Active Drive Low system – Rock mode exclusively on the Trailhawk®.

STAY IN CONTROL

Hill Descent Control (HDC) function is to keep the car at a steady speed during a descent, acting autonomously on the brakes. This ensures the stability of the car and the riding safety, especially in low grip and high slopes conditions.

9-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

Jeep® Renegade is the first compact SUV to feature 9-speed automatic transmission that improves driving comfort and performance by monitoring temperature, speed and electronic stability control activation and offering more than 20 individual shift maps for specific road conditions. This gearbox system guarantees a more responsive driving experience with quicker acceleration and smoother shifting, ideal for highway driving.
Jeep® Renegade also offers the 6-speed Dual Clutch transmission, which combines the main strengths of a manual transmission giving performance and power, with those of an automatic transmission, guaranteeing comfort and ease of use.

2.0 MultiJet 170hp ATX LOW

This 4 cylinders, AT9 transmission engine assures a maximum speed of 196 km/h and 8.9 seconds acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h, with max torque of 350 Nm at 1750 rpm.
